Fred’s passion for wine took root in the vineyards of New York’s Hudson Valley during his art school years. Later, while a wine taster for a national magazine, he was asked to recommend someone who could design and build a 28,000 bottle wine cellar for the Lespinasse Restaurant at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. Drawing from his experience in design, construction and fine wood working, Fred decided to take on the project himself. That led to the successful design and installation of wine cellars throughout the world — focusing equally on form as well as creating ideal wine storage environments.

Fred is a well-known wine expert, a frequent contributor to noted lifestyle magazines including Country and Abroad, and the gracious host of numerous wine tastings and wine/music events throughout the Northeast.
